When I first thought about entering fitness competitions, I have to admit, I was a bit intimidated. After all, I had just given birth to my amazing daughter and thought there’s no way I can get into that kind of shape.
That sort of thinking is a roadblock to achieving goals, so I quickly changed my mind about it. I set a fitness and nutrition goal to enter a fitness competition and I was determined to stick to it.
To my husband Eric’s dismay, the first thing to go would have to be our craving for freshly baked ‘salted chocolate chip cookies.’ If you have never experienced a salted chocolate chip cookie, you must give them a try.
I have the perfect recipe, so email me and I am more than willing to share for those ‘cheat days.’ Now, don’t get me wrong, I love salted chocolate chips more than the next mother, but in order for me to accomplish my goal to enter fitness competitions, my love for sugar had to go.
In July, 2012, I entered my first competition.
Three months later, I entered my second competition and took home some hardware in 4th place at the NPC Excalibur Championships!
